Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Visitor Parking
1. Are my payment details secure in the app?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment providers.
TerraFuse never stores your bank or card details — we only receive confirmation from Stripe that your payment was successful.
For more information on how Stripe handles your data, please refer to the
Stripe Privacy Policy
2. Do I need to register for visitor parking allowance every time I book parking?
No. The registration is a one-time process.
- You only need to apply for your monthly visitor parking allowance once.
- After your building manager approves your request, you can book parking spots anytime without registering again.
- You only need to reapply if your details change (e.g., unit number or car registration).
3. Why is TerraFuse involved in managing our visitor parking?
Managing visitor parking fairly can be challenging without an independent system.
Without oversight, spaces may be taken by:
- Residents
- Ex-residents
- Unapproved vehicles
This leaves genuine guests without a place to park.
TerraFuse provides a fair, transparent, and automated solution that:
- Prevents misuse
- Reduces disputes
- Removes the need for constant manual checks
- Gives residents full control over who can access their visitor parking
4. Do visitors need to download an app just to park?
No. Visitors don’t need to download anything.
You, as the resident, book their parking via the TerraFuse app and send them a secure unlock link (via SMS or email).
They simply click the link to access the parking bollard — no account or installation required.
5. Do visitors pay for parking or overstay if my allowance runs out?
No. Any charges apply only to you, the resident who made the booking.
Visitors are never billed directly.
If you exceed your monthly free allowance, extra time is charged at the small admin fee set by your building management.
6. What’s the point of limits and allowances if I want convenient parking?
Limits ensure fair access for everyone and prevent long-term or repeated misuse of visitor spaces.
They also help keep spaces available for genuine short-term visitors.
Your allowance resets every month, and you can always extend it by paying a small fee if needed.
7. Can I book a space far in advance?
Currently, the system operates on a real-time, first-come-first-served basis.
Reservations secure a space for 15 minutes after booking.
This keeps things fair and prevents long-term blocking of spaces.
8. What happens if my visitor arrives late?
If the 15-minute unlock link expires before they arrive, you can easily make another booking in the app and send a new link.
9. Can I book more than one visitor space at a time?
Yes. You can reserve multiple spaces in one booking session, as long as your allowance covers the hours used.
10. How does TerraFuse prevent misuse of visitor parking?
The system:
- Tracks parking activity
- Flags suspicious patterns
- Allows building managers to issue warnings, suspend access, or blacklist repeat offenders
This ensures rules are enforced fairly without heavy restrictions upfront.
11. Who sets the fees for extra hours?
Your building management sets the admin fee rate for additional hours (e.g., A$0.50–A$2.50 per 15 minutes).
These fees are only applied once your free allowance runs out.
12. Can building management see who I’ve booked parking for?
Yes. For security purposes, the system logs the visitor’s vehicle details and booking information.
This helps ensure accountability and trace any misuse.
13. What if I have special circumstances?
Building managers can grant extra hours or custom allowances for residents who have specific needs (e.g., caregivers, frequent contractors).
Requests can be made directly via the app.
